I thought I would start out with a behind the scenes look at the making of some of the photographs from Saturday’s wedding. Here I am getting low and taking the photo. After years of playing with angles this is just one of those things an experienced photographer knows. The angle and perspective can make or break the photo. So we should be prepared to get dirty getting the shot.
One thing I really enjoy doing is showing my clients how amazing they look right out of the camera.
We were able to create so many beautiful portraits and photographs for this couple that I am so excited to share with you. Paige and Taylor scheduled their day with lots of time for the portraits that they wanted which gave us ample time to play and try different things.
And a few portraits!
What did you envision your wedding being, prior to planning? A rustic chic vibe, we wanted it to be inviting and comfortable for all of our family and friends
What was your color palette and your style vision? Our color palette was blush pink, burgundy and creams/ivory. We wanted an early fall look, with a touch of summer.
What unique elements or DIY details did you include? We made our boxes that held our beautiful flowers. Also, we had cow bells that our family could ring when they wanted us to kiss!
Tell us about your flowers, your gown, your favors, your cake, etc. I LOVED my flowers, they were so beautiful and I wouldn’t have changed anything about them! Even though my gown was extremely hot the day of, it fit our country style wedding perfectly. Another detail we loved, was our famous Ice Cream Bar that was amazing, since it was so humid outside! My family and I took a long time making the DIY bar that was in the barn and everyone loved the rustic look.
What was your favorite moment? Your favorite crafted detail? My favorite moment was when Taylor and I were announced Mr. and Mrs. Taylor James Bouma and walked back down the aisle!
What is one piece of advice that you could give brides-to-be?My one piece of advice for future brides, is to stop worrying about how you look, what other people think about the little details and what you would have done differently. In the end, it is about you and your spouse and nothing else matters!
Please share a bit about your story.
please use the following examples: how you fell in love, the proposal, something fun and quirky about the honeymoon
It is true that love comes in unexpected ways. Taylor and I were friends from high school and college and never knew that our soul mate was so close for so long. We were there for each other for so many years and became best friends. After becoming best friends our relationship grew into the most amazing love. We are so blessed to have found each other and couldn’t have had a more spectacular wedding day. We will remember it forever.
Describe your day:
Throughout the wedding planning, Pinterest was our life line! It helped us shape our perfect day and gave us lots of ideas that helped us keep our budget down, but still have the wedding of our dreams! Our family and friends really did an amazing job helping us set up the day before and day of. Everyone had a special part in setting something up, which made it even more special.
