My Family’s trip to Valley Fair.

Some things that I learned this week…

  1. Family is the most important thing.
  2. Snuggling 30 minutes a day with your loved one is the best medicine.
  3. Be vulnerable.
  4. Crying into a loving shoulder is heaps better than crying when alone.
  5. Make someone else smile.
  6. Our time here is too brief to be unhappy.
  7. Don’t dwell on things that keep you down.
  8. Find reasons why you are blessed right where you are.
  9. a)Change the the way you think about the things that are keeping you down.
  10. b)If (a) does not succeed then make a change.

Wednesday my family decided to go to Valley Fair. One of the perks of working for taco bell as a manager. Taco Bell paid for our entrance and supplied a lunch. That is good because it would be really expensive to purchase two meals there for our family.

The kids were excited for 3 days leading up to our trip they asked multiple times if they were going to the fair to ride bumper cars and slides and water park and were always disappointed when reminded of the countdown. The kids and Zac had fun playing in the peanuts play area. It is kinda cool inside. I was really surprised at how many child friendly options they offered.

The kids liked going on the beetles. They rode it 2 times.Camdyn and Hannah went on this ride together. I am so glad she got to come with. Not all of the rides are okay for a 2 year old to ride even with an adult. So Malakai had to sit this one out. I am not sure how many times the kids rode the train. Hannah and I ran over to the high roller and Zac took some of these pics while we were gone. The bottom seven are Zac’s

Then Zac snapped a few of me waiving to him from atop the high roller. The close up shot is actually cropped waaay in because the image was shot at 24mm. and looked a lot like the zoomed out version.

We walked through the Dino area and the kids loved it. Though I think several of us had vivid dreams of being chased by dinosaurs afterwards. I know I did. And in the dream I was running away with my family. It is difficult to explain the route that was taken to get away from that T-Rex. Truly a unique dream. And a word of advice. Be careful taking your 2 year old through. It might scare them and make them have bad dreams…(experienced mom)

They have this area inside the dinosaur walk. It has a sand box and cement fossil Dino skeleton to dig up. The kids thought it was pretty cool.

After all that dinosaur fun we stopped for an ice cream at Ben and Jerry’s.

I ordered a medium sized waffle-cone with chocolate peanut buttery swirl ice-cream and though it was divine, it was a bit too much ice cream for me. :)Of coarse before we could leave we had to ride the bumper cars for a second time. All the photos from this set Celine is drinking from the camel pack and Malakai is trying to get away.

Thank you for taking the time to read my blog.

We had a great time and would love to do the season pass but we would have to bring our own food because $15/meal/person is a bit too much for this crazy bunch. Remember to enjoy your family and keep those memories alive with photographs. I know I would not have been able to write half of these details without having these priceless images as a visual aide.

Have fun this summer and stay safe. Remember to connect with your loved ones daily. I recommend snuggling with your special guy/gal for at least 30 minutes everyday to help keep your brain positive.

God Bless!
